Happy Neo Year!

In keeping with the traditions of our people,* we watched Matrix movies intermittently throughout the day, occasionally even paying attention long enough to yell things at the screen like “There is no spoon!” or “We meet again Mr. Anderson!” or “These movies make no fucking sense!”

It seems as good a way to begin the new year as any. Possibly better than many other ways, especially ways that involve actually going anywhere or doing anything productive.

*What people? Lazy people who lay on the couch and watch whatever trilogy their Tivo serves up.

heck yeah. I’m agreeing with txskatemom. Never really got interested in anyone’s blog before. I might give you a try. I watched the Happy Neo Year. Told my husband I never understood that plot. Was wondering if I’m losing it. Just went ahead and admitted it to him, I might one day insist he explain it to me. Helluva great special effects tho, and great car wrecks on #3. The whole thing is just mezmerizing. Well Happy Neo Year.

Ha I asked DH to explain The Matrix plot over breakfast. Me: But if the machines are… and Neo is human, why////DH: Because. He. Is. THE ONE. We had some good laughs!
DH says one day The Matrix will be redone in 3D and shown at IMAX.
Oh. Car wrecks are in #2 he says.

I’m totally lost in 2 and 3 and they run together for me, even when I’m trying to pay attention. (answer: quit trying to pay attention). Our friend, who’s never seen any of them dropped by in the middle of the 1st one & was totally flummuxed by why we were supposed to believe people could didge bullets. heh.

The Matrix makes tons of sense if you look at it how it was meant to be looked at, from a philosophical standpoint. Even looking at it from a Christian or Buddhist standpoint will make it a lot more clear than just watching it as an action movie.

The 1st one, sure ;-) But by the time you get through the 3rd movie it’s best just to shut your brain off.
