Our friends are involved in organizing this weekend’s [tag]Spooky Movie Film Festival[/tag] and they’re over the moon about all of the great press they’ve been getting.

Sunday’s [tag]Washington Post[/tag] Sunday Source called it a “slashing good time” and it was featured again today on the Style Section Arts Page:

If waiting the year between “Saw” and “Saw II” felt like being forced to sever your own foot, there’s a film festival for you in this over-full movie season (and, hopefully, there’s also a therapist for you somewhere).

OK. Not a lead-in that makes you want to run right out to the fest (unless you’re gorehounds, which we’re not). The rest of the review was positive, so that’s something. And on Sunday the Post’s Dan Zak wrote, “Films by local talent include “The Dollhouse,” “Blood Bound” and “Werewolf on PCP.” With titles like those, how can you resist?”

Well, actually, we can. We can’t make it out this weekend, but I’m sure the place is going to be packed.
