Bitey is still around, but hasn’t gnawed his way into the house since we caged him, a couple summers ago, then dumped him in a wooded glen well beyond the even-above-average-squirrels’ documented navigation range. Took him 5 weeks, and what tail fluff he hadn’t already lost in furious fights to furry fatality, but danged if he didn’t give me that very same “the walnut or your life” pose.
