aye – seeing the photos this morning of all the houses that are built just across from the sea wall in Galveston … you know, that 17ft wall built to hold back the storms. And the sea was already crashing over the top and racing across the street to the homes. At 9am and the storm still 12 hours away and at least 10 more feet of surge to contend with.
It is so eerie to think that by Sunday a photo of the same location will show nothing but water and debris.
