quick, I need about $100,000

This post is part of the corrupted archives restoration and includes the old comments as text at the bottom of the post. Sorry if this is confusing.

Thanks to former Shriekback bassist Dave Allen, I finally got a copy of Oil and Gold (and found time to listen to it in the middle of the night last night) so the Shriekback crisis is officially over.

In other news…

I’ll be the first to admit that I find the vast majority of the Party Animals to be ugly. The problem, I think, was scattering them. Now that I spend every waking moment surrounded by a huge herd of them I’ve become quite attached to them. (I didn’t steal them, if that’s what you’re thinking. They migrated here on their own).

In fact, I want to buy them all and keep them right where they are. If someone would be so kind as to send me about $100,000 I’d appreciate it. I think that ought to cover the lot of them. I’m particularly attached to the Periodic Table of Elephants, Penny, Donkey Ote, Pegassass, and (my personal favorite) the wooly mammoth who’s picture I can’t find right now. I’m working the weekend so maybe I can find time to take pictures of it. It’s really adorable.

Thanks in advance.

Update. Faith found the Mammoth. His name is Strom. *giggle*

They did something similar on the Main Line in Philly with dog statues. Mike and I have been photographing them with the intention of putting the pics up on my site. Of course we have only gotten like half of them photographed and then all of the sudden they removed them for some art show!

My coworkers who chased these things all over town to take pics are a little miffed that many of them are now in one place. Heh.

Dogs. I like that. :)

I want them all. I, too, think most of them are butt-ugly. But they really need a good home. :)
