I’m wondering if the city could take a little break from poisoning me and my neighbors. Better yet, why don’t they tell us they’ve maybe poisoned us instead of letting us read it in the fucking newspaper. Am I angry? You have no idea.
I particularly like this part of the article:
The city is taking steps to prevent further problems, Baier said. It has distributed new literature door-to-door, advising residents to fill dry pipe traps with water to prevent fumes from entering through pipes. Workers also are ventilating manholes and flushing sewer lines with water.
New literature. They’re distributing new literature. Doesn’t that imply that they distributed literature before? That’s crap. I haven’t found anyone who was notified of what type of work they were doing before they started.
I don’t feel well today (for the usual reasons) so I’m extra-grumpy about all of this and taking it all particularly personally. In actuality, I’m just glad none of the children seemed to have been injured. I have heard several dogs got sick, and in this area that will probably provoke a bigger outcry than humans getting sick. Really. Just wait…
