No one was willing to go with me to watch them light up the Capitol Hill Christmas tree so I watched it on CNN. Lazy, I know. I like to let CNN buffer so I can skip the commercials and I hit the pause button on the Tivo remote just as Nancy Pelosi said, “This tree was trimmed with young people.” I was really enjoying the mental image of a 100 foot tree festooned with toddlers hanging on these baby hooks, but I checked back to see what she really said. It wasn’t nearly as funny. What she really said was, “This tree was trimmed with young people in mind.”

Oh well.
