Adorable Ashley is on her way to Africa and her fabulous husband Alec (one of my very oldest and dearest friends) shall soon follow. I’m excited about their new adventure, sad to be losing good neighbors so soon after they finally moved to the cool part of town, and, well, jealous of the excitement and fulfilling work that lies ahead for Ashley with Save The Children.

Hey, on the upside, we have a good location for a commune if we all need to flee this place for a while!

I was just poking around their site and laughing at old party pictures. What on earth is husband doing in this picture? Third row down, on the far right, the picture labelled “kuhn eric.” (and may I add, my god, I had a lot of hair then). Wait, I’ve realized that’s Del Ray Steve’s hand in the background, not Husband’s. It’s still a funny picture.

And here, as a bonus, is a picture of Tilly, who is, incidentally, Dexter’s sister. Tilly will be staying at the Albatross. She doesn’t get to go to Africa, either.
