Yup, the glass was full and spilled everywhere when I picked it up and the top half came off in my hand. The remaining liquid is a lovely demonstration of surface tension, maybe after my nap I’ll grab one of the decent cameras and snap a better picture. I’m not holding my breath that will happen, so I snapped it with my blackberry cause it was in my pocket at the time.
did this once with a cocktail class from C&B – it’s that damn hand blown glass I think. This glass was sitting on the coffee table, no one even touching it, and the top 1/2 inch ring just popped off and fell straight down around the stem in a single piece. It was very surreal.
didn’t spill any of the martini either.
Maybe you broke it…with your mind.
Sorry, that was me…in an effort NOT to implode the creatures who work at the DC DMV, I had to send my thoughts elsewhere…who knew?!?! Yep, they’ve convinced me that it’s still not a good plan to become a DC resident.
If given the choice between a kidney infection and a trip back to the DC DMV ever again in my lifetime, I’d have to think long and hard. And I’m pretty sure I’d go with the kidney thing. My condolences.
You know you’re in trouble when there are signs posted advising “no eating, no drinking and no profanity”….
this is why i no longer challenge you to arm wrestle.
yeah but it took you long enough to learn your lesson, sean.
My C&B glasses have done this trick as well. At least there are no shards to get caught in your toes.
