Remember those creepy kids books from the 70s that were personalized with your name?* The “story” was a litany of good and bad events starring you as the main character. Here’s a made up example:

Rebecca got a balloon at the party.
But the balloon popped on the way home.

Rebecca got an ice cream cone instead.
But the ice cream cone melted before she could eat it.

Rebecca wanted to go to the park.
But it was raining.

Rebecca was eaten by sharks.
But she had good life insurance.

etc. etc.

I’ve been having that kind of day.

One of my Ravelry** buddies and I were going to go hit a yarn sale today.
But I got a huge headache and we didn’t go.

[tag]Apple[/tag] delivered more memory for my ibook 13 hours after I ordered it.***
But then I dropped my ipod and the bottom popped off and the guts poured across the room.

[tag]Huckabee[/tag] won in Iowa.
But still, no one is afraid.

I fixed my ipod.
But that means I don’t have an excuse to get a new one.

I think I’m going to go lay down for a little while. There may be whimpering. And much sighing.
