An email just landed in my inbox from Rustico, one of the great restaurants in the Del Ray/North Old Town area of the City of Alexandria. Tonight is the 4th annual “Don’t Hassle the Hofbräu Fest.” The event starts at 6:00 and is described as, “A Hopped Up Homage to the Hoffster.”

Join us at Rustico tonight as we bid a fond farewell to another swell Oktoberfest season and say hello again to one of our favorite icons and inspirations: David Hasslehoff. For the fourth consecutive year (that’s just crazy), we will pour 4 delicious brews from the splendid Hofbräu portfolio (Oktoberfestbier, Münchner Weisse, Dunkel & Original Lager) as a celebration of German beer and German rock supremacy – all the while handing out complimentary commemorative half-liter Hofbräu mugs! This year’s beers are all $6 per half liter, and come along with the aforementioned souvenir steins with every purchase.

As in years past and in the true spirit of Halloween, we once again encourage everyone to dress up in their favorite 80’s and early 90’s garb – and will look very favorably upon everyone who arrives at the fete dressed as Mr. Hasselhoff himself.
