The New York Daily News reports, “Chinese media calls Guns ‘N Roses ‘Chinese Democracy’ an attack”. Someone should clue the Chinese in that they’re right, it is an attack: on good taste and musicianship. I’ve listened to bits and pieces of the album and what I’ve heard is every bit as awful as the reviews claim. Allison Stewart’s review in the Post was pretty hilarious, although it does contain a few passing bits of kindness that I’m doubtful the album actually deserves.
I have to ask, what the fuck is Axl Rose, who was already pretty gross in my book, wearing on his head?
Has anyone notified Cher that he’s gotten hold of one of her wigs? Did he lose a bet? Join a cult? Let Madonna and the Jonas Brothers get wasted and dress him up in stuff they found on a dumpster-diving expedition? I just don’t understand the statement he’s trying to make with that “look.” I know it’s better not to think about these things, but it’s a nice diversion from watching the mayhem on Wall Street.
