My mother is quite convinced that Obama is the second coming of Hitler (her words) and is hellbent on destroying America.
That sound you keep hearing is my head banging on my desk.

Hello.
I like your site and wanted to know if you would be interested in exchanging blogroll links.
Thanks in advance
And it’s something called the Republican Jewish Coalition doing the polling.
Hmmm… perhaps it’s the guy who thinks Obama is a muslin? That guy’s in Florida…. Happily, he has been refuted.
Though one does wonder why, if Hitler were going to come back, he’d come back as Obama. Isn’t Obama kind of the antithesis of Hitler’s beliefs? And if he were to come back as his antithesis (as… a joke? punishment? Though one suspects there would be more appropriate punishments to mete out…), would he still have the same motivations and desires? To me, this seems unlikely.
Clearly, I’m taking this thought far too literally.
Can you please tell her I was kidding? I made the phone call thinking I was calling you.
And what exactly is wrong with the RJC?
Either that, or Jimmy Carter’s newest pair of slippers…
And I echo what Faith asked. Now where did I put that damned absentee ballot?
I don’t understand what faith’s question has to do with this post, which is about groups push polling my mother and others and basically lying and saying Obama is a Muslim. My mom got one call that said his outright he was a secret Muslim and wanted all Jews dead. I find that wrong on many levels.
I missed Link’s comment earlier, now I understand Faith’s question.
I’ll let Linkmeister answer that since he raised the group’s name, but I will say that the run-in I had with the republican jewish coalition was with members of the student group, who tried to have me fired from my job on the grounds that protesting the war ON MY OWN time was anti-semitic by it’s nature and should not be tolerated by a university. Really. They were a truly intolerant group of people preaching tolerance for no one but themselves. So actually, my opinion of them is pretty low, but that’s based on one chapter’s actions and may not be an accurate reflection of the group.
If they are endorsing the use of push-polls, particularly push polls that use religious intolerance and lies about another person’s faith, my opinion hasn’t gotten any higher.
I don’t have anything against them (well, they’re Republicans, but other than that), but I thought the provenance of the calls was an interesting tidbit.
And before anyone gets outraged that I’m biased against Republicans, look at the stock market, the financial industry, American foreign policy, and ask who’s been in charge for 8 years.

That’s fantastic, Rania.
