DCAC‘s annual show, 1460 Wall Mountables is right around the corner (the opening is Friday evening) and for a nice change of pace we’re in town and have work ready to hang for the show.
It will be interesting to see how the bacon is received when it’s in a different context. I guess we’re about to find out!
The gallery is at 2438 18th St NW, DC 20009 (Adams Morgan)
Opening reception: Friday, July 20, 7-9 p.m.
Gallery hours: Wed – Sun, 3-7 p.m.
Show dates: July 20-August 24, 2012
If you’d like to buy a bacon photograph for Father’s Day, the images are all available for preview here. The framed and matted photos are on display at Artomatic until June 23rd but you can order an unframed print and I will ship it right to you door. If you want to buy one of the framed pieces from Artomatic, I can send you a greeting card you can present to dad while he waits for the show to end.
Right now the links send you directly to paypal. Let me know if you have any questions or would like to order a print in a different size. Eventually, I’ll move this all over to an etsy store, but to fulfill the Father’s Day orders I need to have the prints shipped directly from the photo lab and that’s against etsy rules as I understand them.
Thanks again to everyone for your support – this project has been lots of fun and the feedback has been amazing.
I think they spelled “meat” wrong….
In other news,
Gallerist/Collector/Artist/Blogger Lenny Campello posted his Artomatic 2012 review. This is our favorite part:
Made Me Hungry Award - Rebecca Gordon has unexpectedly beautiful photographs of bacon on the 10th floor.

Artomatic opens tonight and we’ll be on the 10th floor from 7-9 p.m. Maybe earlier, probably later, but I make no promises. (see the previous post for details).
I’ll be listing all of the images for sale sometime this weekend. Available for purchase: the framed photographs displayed at Artomatic (which you can’t have until I remove them after the show, which will happen sometime between June 24 and July 1st). Additional images are available, framed or unframed, and, as these are part of an unnumbered series, additional prints of each image are also available.
See you soon!
